Description
A tender, young version of sweetcorn that is especially popular in Oriental-style dishes. The whole cob can be eaten. Easily prepared by washing and trimming thicker ends, can be cooked whole or cut into pieces. Baby corn can be eaten raw (added to salads etc.) or cooked in stir-fries to make a colourful healthy meal. Baby corn can be stir-fried or steamed. To stir-fry, heat 1 tbsp. olive or sunflower oil in a frying pan or wok and cook for 3-4 minutes or until just cooked. To steam, place the prepared corn in a steamer and cook for 3-4 minutes or until just tender.
